Athletics Day Fun

Manaiakalani Film Festival
What an exciting day getting to see ourselves on the Silver Screen at the Manaiakalani Film Festival at Sylvia Park! It was amazing to see all the cool movies that the classes have made. Well done to Maddison and Masen for presenting Room 13/14's movie on stage. Thanks to all the Year 6's that were our buddies for the day too! :)

Zoo Trip with Team 1
We started the term with an amazing trip to the zoo with all of Team 1. What a fabulous way to begin our term - having the chance to see animals up close as we begin our Inquiry... and Miss Mason got introduced to the capybara! I'm excited to see the discussions, writing, and artwork that comes out of taking a closer look into the lives of animals on our planet!

Veggies and Art
After looking at the different vegetables we eat at home, we talked and wrote about what they look and feel like. We had a lot to say! We then experimented with using them as tools to paint with colourful dye to make our own unique and individual pieces!
Check out these kumara, celery, broccoli and cauliflower works of art...
